Cellular / Electricity Industry
Antennas are placed on all building roofs and towers to meet the demands of the people to be reachable on each spot. The building roofs are not calculate for heavy loads from steel constructions like support structures for antennae and small platforms to access equipment. Fiberglass platforms are lightweight (70% lighter than steel), easy to place, RFI/EMI transparent and corrosion resistance.  Due to its lightweight, cell sites and platforms can be easily moved to various spots on the roof. The utilization of FRP make it is not necessary anymore to reinforce the roof of the buildings.

Other applications are panels to enclose cellular antennae. The unattractive antennae structures on building roofs are now shield by FRP panels which are nice looking, RFI/EMI transparent, shield cellular equipment from high winds and weathering.

In the electricity industry non-conductive fiberglass grating, handrails and structural supports are used for safe, strong and maintenance-free platforms around the transformers. The amount of amps of DC electricity in this industry is that high that safety is a primary concern for the company and the platforms  had to be designed to prevent any possibility of being grounded when working on them.
