FRP Handrail for LNG Terminal. The handrail is fabricated in sections of 6 meter long for a fast installation on side.

NIJL Composites installs FRP DURAGRATE® molded gratings for several lead shank.   

For a new building at the University of Twente, NIJL Composites installed FRP DURAGRATE® molded gratings in several lead shanks. First al the pipes, air shafts, etc were installed and NIJL Staalconstructies installed all steel supports. NIJL Composites installed the FRP gratings. All gratings were easily cut at the right dimensions on site. No measurements or drawings for cut outs were made prior to the installation. Future cut-outs or penetrations can be easily made by using a jigsaw, because the FRP molded gratings have load bearing bars in both directions allow for use without continuous side support.  

The strong mesh molded grating panel allows efficient on-site cutting to minimize grating waste. Molded grating is significantly lighter in weight than metallic gratings. Standard DURAGRATE® grating has a concave profile on the upper surface for skid resistance

NIJL composites places a radiation reflection free composites construction at Westerbork Netherlands .

NIJL Composites has won a major contract from

Klimahaus® Bremerhaven 8° Ost, to build removalble walkways from FRP. These walkways will be used to maintain the water climate in and around the basins. All walkways and other constructions have to be from FRP, no metal is allowed.



Klimahaus is an exciting new 11,500 m2 attraction, based on global climate change, that is currently under construction and will be open next summer (2008).



Inside, there will be three primary themes, incuding:

1) Journey: a trip to 8 different locations with all other climate zones;

2) Elements: an interactive look at the relationship of Earth, Wind (air), Fire (sun) and Water to climate; and

3) Perspectives: a look at climate change, human influence and what we can do to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere.



Klimahaus Bremerhaven may well be the world’s largest museum venue specifically dedicated to bringing the issue of climate change to the public.

In April 2006 NIJL Composites is founded, utilizing Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP). NIJL Composites will reinforce NIJL Staalconstructies and NIJL Aircraft Docking. In 2005 NIJL has done an investigation to explore the possibilties of Fiberglass Reinforced Polymers. The result is the founding of NIJL Composites.
