Grating for lead shanks

NIJL Composites installs FRP DURAGRATE® molded gratings for several lead shank.   

For a new building at the University of Twente, NIJL Composites installed FRP DURAGRATE® molded gratings in several lead shanks. First al the pipes, air shafts, etc were installed and NIJL Staalconstructies installed all steel supports. NIJL Composites installed the FRP gratings. All gratings were easily cut at the right dimensions on site. No measurements or drawings for cut outs were made prior to the installation. Future cut-outs or penetrations can be easily made by using a jigsaw, because the FRP molded gratings have load bearing bars in both directions allow for use without continuous side support.  

The strong mesh molded grating panel allows efficient on-site cutting to minimize grating waste. Molded grating is significantly lighter in weight than metallic gratings. Standard DURAGRATE® grating has a concave profile on the upper surface for skid resistance
